Diagnosis of bradycardia

Bradycardia is a condition that can only be diagnosed by your doctor. He will probably start to examine you by doing a physical exam. After that, he will do an eletrocardiogram (EKG or ECG), which will examine the electrical signals that control heart rhythm, so it is the best test for bradycardia.

Another issue that you may face is that your doctor might propose that you use a portable electrocardiogram (Holter), simply because of the nature of bradycardia as a condition -- it usually comes and goes, so it might be hard to "catch" it in the doctor's office.
